Virtual EMDR, Somatic Therapy, and Nervous System-focused care for adults in Texas
Regulated Resilience Therapy may be a good fit for you if you:
Have tried other therapies, but still feel stuck
Are tired of trying to “think” your way to healing
Feel stuck in fight, flight, or freeze
Experience chronic pain or persistent physical symptoms
Experience “mystery illness”; labs are normal, but you still don’t feel well
Struggle with anxiety, overwhelm, hypervigilance, or difficulty relaxing
Tend to lean towards perfectionism and/or people-pleasing
Are a high achiever or “go getter”
You don’t need to arrive already knowing how to regulate your nervous system. That’s part of the work.
When the nervous system has been stuck in a state of fight or flight (survival mode) for too long, it begins to perceive what might be a small inconvenience as a threat. It’s like a faulty smoke alarm that begins to sound when it simply senses steam from the shower (rather than an actual fire).
Together, we’ll get curious about what your brain and body have learned to perceive as threatening, understand the patterns that keep your nervous system on high alert, and gradually help it learn more adaptive ways of responding.
The goal isn’t to be calm all the time. It’s to build a nervous system that can respond to life—- and find its way back.
